Point your phone at a row of spines. Shelfmark reads what is printed on them — titles, formats, edition text. A binder page or a row of cards works the same way.

Identify each one
Each reading is matched against our shared catalogue and public reference sources. If there's no match, the row keeps only what was read from the spine — nothing is invented.

Review the list
Approve a row, reject it, or open it and correct it by hand. Nothing is saved until you press Add to library, and what you change stays changed.

Saved, and filled in
Approved rows go on your shelf, and cover art, year, genre and runtime fill in behind them. Then ask it anything about what you own.
Private by default
Shelf photos are read and then deleted — we never keep them.
Your catalogue is yours alone. Nobody else can see it.
Export the whole thing whenever you like, on any plan, even after a trial ends.

What happens to my shelf photos?
They are read and then deleted. We never keep them.
What if a spine can't be read?
It is never guessed. You're told how many spines couldn't be read, so you can retake those with a closer shot — or add them by hand.
What if it reads something wrong?
Nothing is saved until you approve it, and anything you correct is locked — the automatic fill-in will never overwrite it.
What happens when the 30 days are up?
Your catalogue stays. Browsing, organising, adding by hand and exporting are free forever. Photo scanning, the automatic details and Ask need a subscription.
